Privacy Policy
Last Updated 28th September 2025.
This Privacy Policy explains how Ad Causal (“Ad Causal”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and transfers information when you use our website, platform, and services (the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Information. Full name, email, business details, billing address, payment details, profile pictures, support requests, and communications with us.
- Connected Platform Data. When you connect third- party accounts (e.g., Meta, Google, TikTok, Amazon, Shopify), we may collect ad campaign data, targeting settings, spend and performance metrics, ecommerce sales and order data, API permissions and API keys or access tokens.
- Automatically Collected Data. Log files, IP address, browser type, device details, usage patterns, clickstream data, experiment configurations and results, analytical outputs, cookies, and telemetry from your use of the Services.
2. How We Use Information
- To operate, deliver, and improve the Services, including automatically retrieving, syncing, processing, analyzing, and modifying campaign and sales data from connected platforms on a scheduled or continuous basis, without requiring manual instruction each time.
- To conduct experiments, build counterfactuals, measure ad effectiveness, and generate analytical reports and insights.
- To run automated background processes such as syncing, recalculating, or benchmarking data, which may occur independently of direct customer action.
- To combine or aggregate data across customers and platforms for lawful business purposes, including benchmarking, feature development, performance improvements, and methodological research. Aggregated data may still relate to identifiable businesses and is not guaranteed to be anonymized.
- To provide customer support, billing, authentication, fraud prevention, and communications related to the Services.
- To comply with applicable laws, enforce agreements, and maintain the security and integrity of the Services.
3. How We Share and Transfer Information
- With third-party platforms you connect (e.g., Meta, Google, Shopify, Amazon, TikTok) so we can access, use, and act on your campaign data, sales data and other relevant data.
- With service providers and contractors who process data on our behalf (e.g., hosting, analytics, billing providers).
- Within our corporate group, including affiliates, subsidiaries, and parent companies.
- In connection with a business transaction such as merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- When required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or security.
4. Data Storage & Security
Data is stored on secure servers in designated regions. We use encryption in transit, role-based access controls, and monitoring measures to protect information. However, no system can guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain data for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Aggregated data may be retained indefinitely, whether or not it can be linked to a specific business or user.
6. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred and stored outside your jurisdiction, including to countries with different data protection laws. By using the Services, you consent to such transfers.
7. Your Choices & Rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to certain uses of your information. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@adcausal.com. We will handle requests in accordance with applicable law.
8. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for login persistence, analytics, and improving the Services. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features may not function properly.
9. Payment Processing
We do not store credit card information. Payments are processed by third-party providers (e.g., Stripe, Polar), whose terms and privacy policies apply to your transactions.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or in-platform notice. Continued use of the Services after updates constitutes acceptance of the changes.
